Die Hard 5-star picture problems

Has anyone else had problems with the picture on the new 5-star Region 1 Die Hard DVD?

Around chapter 12 or 13 the picture and audio start to break up making it unwatchable. After skipping forward a few chapters, it seems to be okay. I'm playing it on a Wharfedale 750.

I didn't notice anything like that when I watched it on my mate's Pioneer606D. Maybe you've got a faulty disc? :confused:

I had a similar problem with my copy, only with mine it started skipping later on (around Chapter 30 or so). Fortunately Play replaced it and the new copy has no such problems. So, yes it looks like a faulty disk so you should try and get it replaced.

Thanks - I was hoping it was a faulty disc and NOT a compatability problem. I bought mine from Play too so I'll be contacting them shortly....

Plays fine on my wharfedale, so defintely looks like a dodgy disc. Mind you, you could always say it's your machine to justify upgrading to a newer player.;)
Sadly I don't think my wife would fall for it.:( :p :D

AHA! My Die Hard boxset only just went to "Order Processing" this
evening after a week at "Order Taken" even though it was marked as in
stock. Maybe they've identified a faulty batch. That would explain the
delay.

more likely to be just bad service judging by most peoples recent experience :(

did you buy the film seprately or the box set? i'm trying to find out if its only ina chunky case wen released as part of the box set? are all 5 star colelctions gonna have those fat cases?

seperately or in the boxset they are the double alpha cases. I think all 5 Star releases have been in double alpha cases.
