Having just seen these three titles available from MVC for a knock-down price, I was wondering if there were any significant differences across R1 and R2?

From what I can see, Dr Zhivago appears to be pretty much identical, but does anyone know about the other two?

From reading te review of the R1 version of Ben-Hur from www.dvdreview.com and owning the R2 version it sounds like that is identical as well

How much were MVC selling it for?

£34.99, which works out at less than £12 per film.

I can't for the life of me think of anyone doing them cheaper than that - though obviously I'm happy to be corrected!

Nothing wrong with the covers they come in IMO snappers with a snazzy gold sleeve :)

Thanks for the tips, but after yesterday's experience - a delivery delayed by 24 hours because the postman couldn't be bothered to ring the doorbell even though I was in, forcing a trip to the sorting office - I think I'll pay the MVC price and avoid the hassle!

The R1 Ben Hur is a snapper, but the R1 Zhivago is in a rather nice fold out cardboard affair, similar to Citizen Kane (haven't a clue about Gone with the Wind).

Warners have said they were sticking to snappers, except for certain SEs...but they obviously meant R1 only.

Gone with the Wind R1 is also in a snapper case. :D
