This is probably better in suppliers, but I think I would get better advice/views here...

Need to get quotes for work on a corner house (currently been used as offices), it needs the whole old style concrete slab/post fencing removing from its front and side and perhaps being replaced with a nice black railing which would look better and add more value? the are to entrances requirede front and side which would reuire metal gates. Also perhaps the railing should have a one third low brick wall or with brick type towers on either side of the metal railing fences? and not sure what is the best to go for? and the best way to find companies that do this sort of work?anybody know any good ones?

Also require surveillanced CCTV9three cameras)- front, side, and back which will be with a hard outerprotective weaterh casing. Installers/companies for this?

Need reputable good companies who will do a professional job and charge a fair price. :?:

All help and advice is greatly appreciated..

Not sure i can help directly, as you're accross the other side of the country, but i work for a company who specialise in cctv (amongst other things!!).

There's more to just "cctv 3 cameras". Do you want digital video (i.e. stored on a pc) or old system (analogue) with a time laspe Vcr? Also it does depend on what area needs covering and wether you need remote (read as "adsl") access to the server so you can log on when alerted from home to investigate a triggered alarm (saves the drive at 3am!).

To give you an idea (and obviously charges will vary depending on options), i would guess that a standard analogue system with decent cameras (static) would probably cost somewhere around £1500 inc installation. Digital around £2500, depending on quality required. Remember, for the images to be used legally in court, you have to have a good recognisable shot of the person from the shoulders up, and prove that the images have not been tampered with (digital watermarking).

P.s. and yes, this probably is in the wrong forum

Hi Paul

Thanks for the info. Your right def more to it, and its a shame your not around london as would have called you for a quote as we have got some silly one so far! Basically it wont be stored to a computer but to some sort of recording device?(not sure if there are varations to this type of thing) so I guess will be looking at analogue cameras? Is that right? The images do not have to be perfect it is more of a preventative measure but I guess the digital one would be better if we do have a break in :(

Is there any other info that I need to that I need to provide to get the right setup?

Thanks
