View Full Version : what pc game do you play online most?
Whats the most played pc game online just now?I have got a pc coming this saturday.I love playing games online but i dont know what game to buy.I was thinking about doom 3 or call of duty.
Call Of Duty, easily better online than doom3. Much wider range of gameplay, esp if you get the united offensive addon pack too.
Aye for online its got to be Call of Duty (counterstrike goes without saying) - doom3 is a fantastic "single player experience" but really is poo online.
Call of Duty is the hot game at the moment IMHO but that will all change when Counter-strike: Source comes out.
I used to play team fortress all the time when i lived at my mums house.Does anyone still play this? That game is a classic.
It looks like i will be getting call of duty then.

Star Wars Galaxies.
But MMORPG's aside, it'd be Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory - and thats FREE to download!

Team Fortress Will hopefully be coming out on the new HL2 Source engine as well :)
I played wolfenstein online before and didnt think much of it.I thought the one player game was alot better.I liked medal of honor online when that first came out that was great fun.
Can wait for that ono.I seen a clip of the game at my friends and thought it looked amazing. But i never heard anything about team fortress coming out on the new HL2 Soyrce engine.
Well time to go to work.Crap

Still play BF1942 loads, had over 50 hours racked up on it last month. For scale, variation, and playability, its yet to be beaten.

I only play BF1942 with the occasional bout of Counterstrike. I love flying the planes in BF1942. :D
CoD and UO.
Tried FarCry but not to exciting, all i remember was lots of Teamkillers.
Started my online playing years ago with the arrival of Quake and Quake World.
Them were the days, 32 players on a map designed for 16, carnage, pure carnage.

Battlefield 1942
You've got to play it online to see how good it is. I've tried everything else mentionned above and nothing comes close to beating BF1942.

Counter-Strike without doubt. I've meddled around with other games- UT, AVP, Q3, RTCW, HL etc etc, but none of them hooked me like CS.
mmm alot of good games it sounds. Its a hard choice.I will make my mind up on friday

Lately, it's been COD: United Offensive. Not even touched the singleplayer campaigns yet.
Nobody rate America's Army?
Battlefield 1942

Totally agree. The joy of flying around, precision bombing tanks, dogfighting with other fighters is so much better when you know that real people are your opponents.
Plus BF1942 is a mature game now, and is very well balanced. There are lots of different roles you can play so anyone can find a niche they like and specialise.

I'm hooked on Day of Defeat (one of the Steam games) at the mo.
Have any of the Battlefield 1942 players played Day of defeat?
(Edit: and/or call of duty players)
