I've got about 140 discs (haven't counted in a while) and about 12 discs unwatched. Last week I went through the lot and picked out the ones I haven't watched and made a pile - not watching any old ones until I get through them all. Got through 5 at the weekend, but got home tonight and Family Guy was waiting on the mat! D'oh!
Oh, and I've got Close Encounters coming... must stop buying discs (hmm, L.A. Confidential is cheap...)
:D
My name is Paul, and I'm an addict.
about 150 disks
3 unwatched
Men of Honor
The Legend of Bag O @@@@ (on principle)
A Time to Kill which is the DVD that under no circumstances must ever be watched.... I dare not trade it for fear that someone else will watch it...not knowing the consequences of doing so...It remains safely shut away in my DVD cupboard

I have 1 unwatched DVD out of 143 - Iron Fisted Monk (received this morning) - will prolly watch that tonight
1 unwatched out of 37 owned :( i really need to get some more dvds
About 35 or so from a collection of approx 120 discs. Not bought that many over the last 6 months (10 I think) as the unwatched pile is getting bigger than the watched pile.

Ouch, thats one killer list - you would have to pay me to watch all but 2 films from that selection :)
I am very bad for this - I must have about 320 DVDs and must have at least 50 or more not watched or still sealed. (The thought of counting them is just too painful) This includes 17 bond movies and 3 series of xfiles...OMG I need to take some time off work and watch some movies!!!
just can't help myself from buying them.....
cheers
ronski
NONE i don't go spending mad and when i do buy i usually watch them within the week:D :D
It would irritate me too much to know i have a DVD sitting there that is unwatched.
I can't believe some people have said there is some sitting on there shelf still 'SEALED'. I have to open mine straight away.:D  and give it a whirl.

Absolutely nothing....I agree, it is a good film, the DVD however is nasty......and therefore it must never be watched under any circumstances
I'm hoping someone will come along shortly and post something worse but I think I must currently be in the lead :)
I've 103 films to watch plus about 35 discs containing up to 4 episodes of various TV series out of a collection around the 280 mark. However my collection counts boxsets as 1 but these could account for seven films out of the 103 to watch.
This figure, although huge, is gradually coming down as I watch between six and 12 films a week and no longer trade/ buy as many as I did when I first discovered the forums. Although out of the 103, there's only 21 films I've never seen in my life and that tends to be the pile that gets the priority and makes up my trade list (if I don't like them).
A lot of the ones I know I'll keep but haven't seen include a lot of boxsets and limited edition stuff which I buy as it comes out even though I know I may not watch it for ages - as I may never be able to get hold of it later or, if I can, it will cost me twice as much :)

I've got 11 out of about 180 discs to watch, these are...
4 Planet of the Apes films
Toy Story (seen this about 5 times on other formats, can't be arsed to watch again at the moment)
Mad Max 2 & 3 (waiting for the Mad Max SE befoe I watch these)
Onca Upon A Time In China
New Dragon Gate Inn
Magnolia
Godzilla (this came free with my player over 2 years ago & is still sealed, & will stay that way)
Also Planet Of The Apes(2001) & Gia are winging there way to me as we speak.
I have 6 out of about 70 unwatched
Swordfish
The Messenger
Driven (been put off by bad reviews)
Shrek
U-571
15 Minutes

I've got about 70 unwatched DVD's. :(
Out of 53 DVDs, I have one disc unwarched, which I am more than half the way through anyway. It's The Complete The Thin Blue Line.
Oh, and you can count The World At War: Volume 1 disc two as well.

out of 295 dvd's (counting boxsets as 1) I have
0 unwatched :)
but I do have around 30 on pre-order or on the way to me , so they are unwatched :)
the thread topic sounds like something a woman in your life might say.. or at least i thought ;-)
but you lot are far to good - i normally have a massive backlog of unwatched films. I've been putting a real effort in to catch up with my dvds ;-) so i probably have 30 / 150 unwatched.

Its a pet hate for me to have unwatched DVDs. The amount of extras I've yet to look at is astounding!
4 out of 134 (2 only arrived yesterday):
Empire of the Sun
Shrek
and The Fly 1 and 2 collection.
Out of around 100 DVDs I still have all of these to "properly" sit down and watch:
Star Wars - R4
T2 - French 3 disc
Total Recall - French 2 disc
The Godfather Trilogy Box Set
Any Given Sunday
Broken Arrow
Snake Eyes
and finally Ghandi
Not too bad... I would watch them but I have a lovely new Widescreen TV coming in the next few days + a brand spanking new DVD player! :p :p :D
Out of 180 odd dvds i have about 20 to be watched! That includes boxsets (counted as one dvd though) for Buffy Season 3 (One disc watched so far). X-files Season 2 (one watched so far!) and Stingray (Again only first disc watched). And i still buy more dvds! Shrek came today!
But when i receive my dvds in the post i open the seal and then put it on the shelf!
About 50 out of 170ish :( . I think I might have to quit work and catch up :D .
at least 30 unwatched out of just over a 100....
and I'm 'between' dvd players at the mo, so the list will only get longer....

I was off work for a couple of weeks recently when my wife had a baby
During that time, I managed to catch up on quite a bit of the backlog. Out of 201 discs, I now have 33 left to watch. For a while I would pile up new discs next to the TV as they arrived but the pile was just getting embarassing. :(
To many and the list keeps growing.
I can feel a sicky coming on.
Box Sets X-Files season 1&2 and 10 other dvd films.

I went though my collection earlier. Edge, you can relax. In my defence I can't say much. I've bought SE's of disc's I've already got and not watched those new SE's, and I've counted boxsets as individual discs (eg a 3 disc-er is 3 discs). I can't bring myself to utter the number....
[voice of sanity]Ever thought of only buying new discs when you've watched all your current ones ?[/voice of sanity]
I've got Criterion Charade to watch, plopped on the doormat yesterday.

I keep hovering around 80 unwatched (my collection is now 439).
This is stupid. Having so many unwatched, keeps me from ever watching a dvd twice. So what's the point in buying them?
So I've now made a "promise" to myself.
I will stop buying anymore, until I'm down to 5 unwatched.
I will then only ever have 5-10 unwatched at a time.
This "moriatorium" will of course be broken if any dvd's on my want-list should go OOP.
This "promise" was of course made after I ordered "Beatles Anthology" from cd-wow, and 9 other dvd's from Splash's sale. :oh-hum:
Out of the 500+ discs I have, about 50 need to be watched.
Though I am the type of person that watched everything on a disc so it takes ages to get through them!!
About 25 including
Lord of the Rings Extended cut
Spiderman
24 Hour party people
French Connection boxset
True Romance SE

I've got around 60 on my 'pending' pile - and that's counting boxsets as one dvd. Several have already been borrowed and watched by others before I've seen them myself.
My collection is somewhere around the 500 - 600 mark (haven't counted in a while) so that's not TOO bad.
Still, I can't leave a disc sealed! The first thing I always do is unwrap and check for scratches etc, as it may be upwards of a year before I get round to watching it (I watched the Simpsons S2 boxset about a fortnight back - I bought that about this time last year!)
