There was supposed to be a Bill Hicks DVD out in October, but it's release date has been delayed.

I've still got my copy on pre order from play 247, but I don't know if it will ever see the light of day.

I believe that a DVD is being released containing every live recording of Bill Hicks, should be well worth it.

there are alot of Stand up DVDs id like to see. Jack dee, eddie izzard and chris rock. but whether or not companies decide to release them or not is another matter i suppose it depends on whether or not the VHS versions were popular or not.

A while back I got an email from Eddie Izzards' company/promoters/whatever... Stating that we wont see a DVD of Eddie until about the middle of next year!?@*!? - And it's gonna be his last show, Circle. But the rest of the shows will follow that release...So it's sort of good news, it's just a long time off...you never know, they may release them earlier...you'd have thought with christmas coming up they'd have released 'em sooner like they usually do with Stand-up vids....

Not sure if you’re a big Roy ‘chubby’ brown fan, but if you are, his new video is out today IIRC, also available on DVD.

/rant

Got my copy on order, although I have to confess I bought the VHS version (ouch!)…Was quite a few quid cheaper for an identical release, so I’m not paying over the odds for the sake of it.

/end rant

Well he's the got the Live In Scottland one out, been out for a while. Not his best but still brilliant if you're a fan of his.
Also his TV series is out (or will be out v. soon), So What Now? :)

The Bill Hicks DVD was originally due in April 2001, but got delayed. My amazon.co.uk order was cancelled last month as it seems that it is not coming out at all any more, which is a damn shame as the man was a legend.

There is some footage of him on a forthcoming region 1 DVD :-

Music Video have announced that they will release the comedy double-pack Comedy's Dirtiest Dozen/Heavyweights Of Comedy on 4th December 2001.

The first feature is the classic comedy concert film launched the careers of Tim Allen, Chris Rock and Jackie "The Joke Man" Martling. It also features the definitive performance of legendary Bill Hicks.

The video is full-frame and the disc will sell for $19.95.

Don't know very much else about it though!

Just to add on from this I saw it in HMV yesterday, widescreen, includes a documentary on Lee Evans and 30 minutes of out-takes, brilliant :)
