Anyone know of a UK supplier that has stock of a X800 XT PE graphics card.? Must be AGP, not bothered about the brand. I have looked everywhere

Thanks

I think there's about a month wait for these. You might find one in one of the smaller retailers, but even then they'll be at a price premium.

If you are desperate, get a X800 pro, overclock it and sell that once the XT PE's become more common.

9800 GT ultras are just as rare though.

they seem impossible to come by, I had a 6800 Ultra but it was far too loud for my liking, PC Component world have BFG 6800 Ultras in stock now, but cant find any 800 XT PE's

Scan have the Asus X800XT Platinum currently in stock but it is £397 inc.

Asus X800XT platinum at scan direct link (http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=128434)

I am still in 2 minds as to wether to buy one or go for the PCW Component centre BFG 6800 Ultra. Anybody care to offer their input on which is the better? I have tried loads of reviews and it seems undecided.
Noise is an issue as my PC is in the living room, but I don't want to miss out on the best performance available due to noise. Will the X800XT PE be a lot quieter than the 6800 ultra and still offer the same/similar performance? Will I be missing out with the ATi as it doesn't seem to support Pixel Shader 3.0, or is this just an unecessary extra the GF has over the ATI?

As always any guidance greatly appreciated.

There's loads of XT pe's down Tottenham Court Road.......bloody expensive though! Otherwise, I think I read on the OcUK forums that they've just had a delivery. www.overclockers.co.uk

Are these genuinely based on the Platinum edition of the ATI?

The Asus cards? Yes, the description says so, and the Asus site doesn't list a non XT PE card (apart from the PROs).

Or if you mean the XT PEs from lowestonweb, yep they are too - the one I have is a Connect3D XT PE running at 525 / 570 stock, benchmarking at 550 / 625 on air ;)

Cheers guys. I think I will go for the Asus on Ebuyer unless someone can convince me the 6800 Ultra is better?
