Can anyone tell me if the cuts that the BBFC made to a couple of the films - Tomorrow Never Dies and Licence To Kill being prime examples - have been removed for the boxset?

I'd very much doubt it. Why would MGM go to the expense of resubmission to the BBFC and remastering the DVD's just to stick them in a boxset? :(

Both GoldenEye and Tomorrow Never Dies are still the cut versions. MGM tried to release them uncut (with '15' certs) but were forced to have them cut because other VHS versions were available in the cut form at a lower cert i.e. '12', so the DVDs had to be cut similarly.

Licence to Kill was not cut by the BBFC and MGM used the wrong master which had footage missing. R1 is possibly even worse off than R2/R4 in terms of accidentally cut footage. Therefore R2UK LtoK is as good as any of the other versions available, until MGM get aroung to reissuing it and On Her Majesty's Secret Service (similarly mis-mastered).

Euro R2 and R4 GoldenEye's are uncut.

Euro R2 TNDs are uncut (R4 still cut). :)
