Some times when I turn on my PC it sounds like everything is going to load up, but the monitor doesnt come to life (Ive checked connections they're fine) then if I try to turn the pc off the power button doesnt work so I have to turn off at the mains. Is this just a dodgy button/connection.
Also I have to keep resetting my PCs clock it runs slow. someone mentioned it could be a battery in my PC thats low?

Cheers for that but i wouldnt know how to

1.Boot your PC and enter its setup mode.

2.Write down all of the settings from the various BIOS menus. Click this link to learn more about this procedure.
(I cant see a link?)

I presume if I change the CMOS battery the PC will default to factory settings?

Sort of. Only the BIOS settings will reset, not Windows. Unless you have changed anything there yourself (such as boot device priority) you should be fine.
