Got the R1 of this yesterday (£14.99 from *********) and on first viewin I am very impressed with this release. With 25 tracks spread over two DVDs it totals around three hours of Bruce and the E-Street Band at their best. Audio and Video quality is thankfully outstanding, the picture is 1.78:1 anamorphic and is pristine and pretty sharp (it was recorded on high def digital cameras). The sound quality is even better both the DD and LPCM tracks sound superb in stereo although the LPCM sounds a touch louder and fuller (only have stereo so the DD track may be more impressive on a full surround system), anyway it sounds great through my hi-fi, just as good if not better than the CD. The extras include a pretty good 20 minute doc featuring interviews with most band members, behind the scenes footage and more tracks (different ones inc Adam Raised a Cain). Although you could count the 11 tracks on disc 2 as an extra as they are previously unseen and weren't included on the original HBO broadcast and are some of the best on the set including Thunder Road and the Born In The USA re-invented as blues ballad.
All-in-all this is highly recommended to all Springsteen fans and is one of the best presentations of a rock concert on DVD so far.

Looks good. Certainly one of the top 3-4 songwriters/performers ever.
Does it include the stunning version of "Jungleland" from the CD ?

Is this multi-angle?
When this was first announced it was rumoured that all footage would be.

Appria, I don't bother clicking on any of your links after spending several hours trying to get your link in this thread to work Appria's dodgy link (http://thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=31946)
I suppose to avoid ending up on your black list I'll have a read of the review. I don't want to gain a rep like craig@rewind :(

Right, just got back from the review (so many words :D ) and the answer to my question is NO.
Still looks like a terrific dvd which may rekindle my interest in Brooce, which waned a bit in the early 90's as I got into different things.

I'm sorry the use of the word 'rekindle' upset you. Perhaps we can have it added to the auto-censor. :D
Also, are you denying using 'dodgy links'. I still get cold sweats from thinking about your 'Don't click here link'.
Yes, I was dumb enough to click it.
I'm sure those windows are still opening somewhere in the background. :D

I've just taken this from Backstreets.com (http://www.backstreets.com) The "Live in New York CIty" DVD, released November 6 here in the States, has been delayed in Europe (as many of our European readers are painfully aware). The latest we're hearing is that the set is now scheduled for December 3 in the UK (and, we hope, elsewhere in Europe). We'll keep you posted with any new release date information as it comes in, and thanks to those who are helping us stay on top of this.
One reported reason for the delay is that they were having sound problems with the second disc. Some U.S. viewers have already experienced sound problems with their copies of disc 2-- in you're one of them, the best thing to do is call Columbia Music Video's Quality Management Department as listed on the back of the package: 1-800-255-7514, or in New Jersey, 856-722-8224. .
It explains the delay for the R2 release, has anyone noticed any defects on their R1 copy?
