Adding an audio index in Nero 5.5

I'm trying to add audio index points to a large mp3 file (not a commercial album before anyone asks !), which I'm looking to burn to an audio cd, without success. I believe I've followed the instructions here (http://www.nero.com/en/FAQs_Audio.html#7) but when I click on the new index button, it doesn't seem to create anything.

Does anyone have any ideas ? Thanks in advance.

You need to click somewhere within the 'oscilloscope' wave section - it'll put a vertical line at that point in the file's timeline. Now click on the 'new index' button and you'll see this point appear as an entry under the positions entry. If you double click on the entry, you can fine tune its exact position within the file.
