View Full Version : Is Arnold Vosloo The New Bond Baddie?
I was reading on the forums pages and it stated on one of the pages that Arnold (The Mummy) Vosloo is going to be in the next Bond film. But is he the main baddie?
It was reported in the British tabloids yesterday that it going to be Billy Bob Thornton as an Evil Texas Billionaire

A British hero against an American villain...!!!?
\me faints.
They should have Bond against the Taliban, with Osama Bin Laden played by Art Malic from True Lies.:argue:

Well at least Vosloo is not as bad as that Bruce Payne guy, who spoiled Highlander: Endgame and worsened an already bad Dungeons and Dragons with his over pronounciation of every word..ugh.
If they gotta get someone from the Mummy movies, I think Patricia Velazquez would make an awesome "femme fatale" to kick Bond's ass, as he has gotten it already in the last couple of movies :o

Never going to be as good as Goldeneye. Methinks more cold war stuff would be nice!

Are you seriously suggesting that Endgame wasn't pre-spoiled anyway?!. A geriatric Lambert in a sequel that corresponds even less to the original than The Quickening did!. At least 2 was a proper continuation, however disgraceful it may have been (and I can't think of a more ill-conceived follow-up TBH).
In any case, that's a little off-topic really and personally I'd like to see Michael Douglas as the next cat-stroker. Would it kill the producers to hire someone who can actually turn in a decent performance?.
Also, why can't the next Bond film be completely free of a female assistant?. I just want to see 007 bring down a baddie on his own for once, I find it a real yawn that he always gets lumbered with some tart halfway through.

Are you trying to tinker with The Bond Formula?
It's always been cool new gadgets, villains taking over the world, and beautiful chicks he "shags" with. :D

I think someone should!. I like JB as much as the next guy, but they should chop & change the formula more distinctly for each film (to stop it going stale). I loved Goldeneye and thought they'd really turned the corner in terms of modernisation. The next two were comparitively uninspiring IMO though and I'm struggling to get excited about future instalments.
I'm not going to pay to watch a movie when I know virtually EVERYTHING that's going to happen in advance. As for the lovely ladies (which I obviously don't object to in any way) why does the Bond-girl always end up on the mission with him?, can't Bond manage on his own?.

Endgame wasn't a continuation of the original film, it was however a continuation of the TV series, which was developed as an alternative reality/timeline of the concept shown in the original film.
