Which version of Moulin Rouge will be the best in terms of extras?
I know the R4 comes out earlier but don't know if the features will be the same as the R1 5-star edition.
Anyone...
...ahh... well, apparently the R1 two-disc release will feature English and Spanish subtitles, whereas the Australian two-disc set will have no subtitles in any language, but will have a dts soundtrack, which the R1 set doesn't offer...

I've decided on the Region 4 cos it's a bit cheaper and I want to support the Australian economy so their $ doesn't drop further :D
The cheapest on Region 4 seems to be the Forums' sponsor www.fbo.com.au at around £15inc -with 3-4 day guaranteed shipping.
For the Region 1 it's www.absound.ca again at around £15 delivered.
It's a cracking soundtrrack CD so I hope the film's as good.
R4 is cheaper at devoted.com.au
I don't know about this one, I think I may get it but I think I will wait to closer to the time of the R1 release.

Thanks everyone!
:)
Everywhere I look the R1 is listed as 1.85:1 and the R4 is listed as 2.35:1  Which is the correct version and why do they differ?
...well... "everywhere" may be dead wrong about that... the IMDb says the movie was filmed using ANAMORPHIC lenses, which definitely indicates AR 2.35:1...

Could it just be an error on the case of the R1 specification then.

I was under the impression that the R1 did have a DTS soundtrack. Anybody care to confirm?

Yes, perhaps image entertainment. See above ;)
At the moment, the 2 audio commentaries haven't been confirmed on the R4 disc.:(
