Are you looking to have your main PC hard wired and the laptop wireless?
I was in PC World the other week, and noticed that they had BT wireless starter kits for just £100 and it included the adsl modem/router, ethernet cable and two cards - one for a laptop and one for a desktop. Not sure how good it is, but for £100 seemed ridiculously cheap. Can't imagine it being too difficult to set up.
YOu need a wireless router and a PC card.
Wireless router goes to PC.
PC card into laptop.
OK, as Ono mentioned, you need a Wireless Broadband router (not Wireless ADSL Modem Router) as your cable modem box will connect into the router to configure / connect to Broadband / the internet.
You will then plug a network cable from the router into your main PC (assuming you have a LAN port) and buy a PCMCIA Wireless LAN card for your laptop.
A package like this (http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=1749522214&action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=64085) is basically what you're looking for.
Ok would that package from ebuyer work fine with ntl.
Ethanol would that package work ok.
I think it should do assuming you get a normal Cable modem Ethernet out
(I use ADSL - maybe a cable modem user can confirm 100%)
