Does anyone know if there's a chance of this series being released on DVD? I'm not sure how well-received it was in the US (lasted three seasons) but I love it, thanks to Channel 4.

I don't know if there's a comparable show to say - "Look, that's on DVD!" but an awful lot of things do seem to get released.

Here's hoping.

I don't know if it will happen or not, but I really like it aswell. I've only seen about 6 or 7 episodes though, so it would be great to be able to just buy the whole lot...

It's one of those shows that's got the tone just right IMO, and as far as American sitcoms go, there's only really Seinfeld that I'd rate ahead of it. I can't be bothered with stuff like 'Everybody Loves Raymond' or any sitcom based on a couple (or family), because I can't really relate to that and it bores me. Norm, like Seinfeld, centres around a pretty selfish main character, and that gives the show license to be much funnier IMO.

Norm Macdonald is an acquired taste though and I like the fact that a lot of people don't seem to 'get' him. I saw him in the film Dirty Work before he made the sitcom, and thought it was hilarious!. I checked out the sitcom simply because he was the star TBH, and I was glad that his performance is the same as in that film- totally tongue-in-cheek deapan.

So fingers crossed on a potential DVD release...

Norm's interviews on The Dennis Miller Show are some of the best things ever, he simply has no inhibitions at all and the bit he did about the gay pride parade in San Francisco was superb. :)
I'd probably get the show on DVD as well.
