Looks like the 90minunte edit of the 2 and a half hour documentary from the forthcoming DVDs will be broadcast before most of us get our hands on the discs.

Star Wars forever changed the way movies are made, seen and heard. It transformed Hollywood itself, and it influenced an entire generation. This 90-minute documentary reveals the story of the most successful independent film series ever produced. It's the saga of a Hollywood outsider named George Lucas and a low-budget labour of love space saga that reinvented the rules. It’s the story of an independent filmmaker who had to innovate and invent an entirely new way of creating motion pictures. See all-new interviews with Lucas, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and more than 40 cast and crew members from all three films; a host of filmmakers, scholars and experts; plus exclusive never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage from the making of each film. Empire of Dreams is the most comprehensive look ever at the story of a pioneer who triumphed against the odds to make an enduring modern fairy tale for the entire world.

Starts at 8pm and is repeated Sunday 12th at 9am and 2pm.

Greetings Programs!

According to Sky Empire of Dreams on Sunday the 19th of September, just a couple of days before the Star Wars DVDs are released. idiotic timing or what? :nono:

I don't see why we can't get it also on the 11th or even the 12th, I'll see it on the DVD set so I won't go out my way to catch it on the 19th. Mind You Sundays are busy at least for me, so Ill probibly miss it anyway. :shrug:

But if you have Sky one in the UK they are showing several Sci-Fi themed top 10s.

On Monday 13/09/2004 at 8.00 PM it's The Top 10 Sci-Fi: Moments.

On Monday 20/09/2004 at 8.00 PM it's The Top 10 Sci-Fi: Aliens.

On Monday 27/09/2004 at 8.00 PM it's The Top 10 Sci-Fi: Robots.

Just seen it, was pretty good.

Got to agree. Loved the auditions for Star Wars and the behind the scenes footage.
Made me respect George a lot more too.

Very enjoyable. I don't exactly feel "spoiled" - I'm more eager than ever to see the full version of the documentary.

It was on The Biography Channel UK Last night Sky Magazine got it wrong, I saw it by accident I was just channel surfing when I decided to watch Harrison Ford's Biography it was Followed by Empire of Dreams, Much to my surprise. It will be repeated but why was it not plugged more?

I think it may have been changed because of the fan reaction but if I just got the wrong end of the stick then nothing is realy lost, I've never claimed to be perfect. :shrug:

BUT Still;
