Sorry if this has been posted before, I've done a quick search and can't see anything.

The guy who sits next to me at work just asked me when Brotherhood Of The Wolf (or Le Pacte Des Loupes as it is in the original French) is out on DVD?

Does anyone know anything about this?

French or English disc?

I think the French disc is out now but with no English subs.

I'd guess the U.K disc will be out March/April and it should be issued by Pathe. So it might be a good disc.

In R1 land it's still to waiting to be shown in the Cinema.

If it's not out, it's due out any day in France, but the French edition doesn't have any English subtitles - d'oh!

They have a very cool 3 disc release, in some leatherbound volume or something, but I need at least English subtitles if I'm going to watch it!

Here's hoping they do a kick-butt R1 or R2 version, with the same great extras as the French release.

Question: Why is there so much fragmentation of the region 2 DVD market, it's crazy! Why is there a French specific R2 DVD of this movie? It would sell like chaud gateaux in Europe, if only it had some more subtitle options!!!!

bah humbug.

oh I really hope its not Pathe after their efforts with Crying Freeman....I'm hoping Universal (who are handling the US release, possibly UK theatrical as well??) handle it as we'd stand a better chance of a 2-disc set mimicking the more standard French release then.

At the moment, I'm waiting for the French 2-disc version to be delivered, which is identical to the 3-disc version but loses the fancy binding and a 90-minute doc on the (not that amazing) special effects. Review to follow!!

Well, I got my 2-disc copy about 10 minutes ago delivered to my office by courier. It has 2 discs in one of those black cases that look like a normal single DVD case only thicker (sorry no idea what the difference between jewel, Amaray, etc. is). According to the cover, the only subtitles are French for the HARD OF HEARING!

Can't wait to watch it over the weekend.
