I'm thinking about changing over from Telewest cable TV to Sky+ but the thing that is putting me off is that at the moment I have all my cabling hidden out of sight under floorboards and behind the skirting boards, so was wondering if I change can the Sky+ installer just reuse the coax cable that will be left when the cable box is taken away?
I hate having loads of visible cables in my living room but I can't face ripping out the skirting boards and redecorating again so if I can't I'll probably not bother :p

I don't see why he can't use the same cable, but if he has to put the dish on the other side of the house from where the telewest junction box is, he might be a bit reluctant. If I were to answer your subject question, I would say yes, co ax is co ax. :)
