Can anyone tell me if this region 1 release is the TV or extended version?

from what my mate told me who has both the dvd and the unrated video (ntsc) there are bits missing out of the dvd (as in about 2 minutes of more sexually explicit stuff). I don't exactly know what these are tho as I've not seen Gia in any shape or form. Hope this helps

It doesn't look like it's the Unrated version, as the IMDB list the running times as:
R-Rated: 120mins (Same length stated on the DVD case)
Unrated: 126mins

Also this (http://www.reel.com/movie.asp?MID=42045&PID=10086013&Tab=reviews&CID=18#tabs) review states that it isn't the unrated version either. :(

I believe the Unrated is only available on VHS at this moment

Yup. I've asked Amazon to confirm this previously, and it seems the R1 DVD release is the (shorter) TV version.

Sorry, you'll have to hope the Tomb Raider special features are both unrated and inappropriate.

And it's also fullscreen, not in OAR, but you get enough full frontal nudity of Jolie there, the cut moments don't take away much from the "dramatic" impact and if you really want more, you should be watching a porno.
Hope they re-release it in OAR and uncut somewhere in the world though.

Given as its made for cable, I've always assumed 4:3 is the OAR.

Yeah well if you assume original broadcast ratio, then yes, but it was shot in widescreen and then pan&scanned for TV when it didn't go to theaters, and so we're not getting what the director intended.

Sorry my mate. No intent to offend. Just going on the data I've gleaned. More at divvy-dangle (http://www.dvdangle.com/reviews/review.php?Id=912);)

Thanks Guys,
I had only seen the film a week ago on Sky (am i right in assuming this was the uncut version??) and would really like to add it to my collection. I guess i'll have to hold out for now and hope they re-release it uncut somtime soon. Sigh... . Anyone know if there are any plans, maybe for a region 2 release?.

Going by the running times posted early, the version on Sky was the cut version at 120mins.

hmmm... well that's what i was wondering. Yet i was told by someone, if it has the scene where Gia sits on Linda's lap and says "dinner is served" then it IS the uncut version.. This was shown on Sky. However, the running time was still 120 min.. Im confused..

I've ordered this from DVDBoxoffice for £10.55, a reasonable price given the specs, & not to much wasted if they go & release the uncut version.

Just got to wait for them to post it now. :(
