On the 24 S1 DVD boxset one of the (very few) extras listed is an 'alternate ending'. Does anyone know what this 'alternate ending' consists of?

I never bought the Season 1 boxset as I understand the R2 was severly cut and it kinda put me off from purchasing, although I do have both Seasons 2 and 3.

Cheers

Rather spookily i watched this last night.

Basically The original ending has Jack find Teri dead, he picks her up and falls to the floor with her. End of.

The alternate version sees Kim follow her Dad into the back of CTU, basically Jack finds Teri again this time she's alive. Kim runs in, they hug, muchos i love you's etc. End of.

Cheers for that, Robby

Incidentally, I haven't seen all of Season 3 yet (gave up with it on Sky One, much preferred BBC's coverage i.e. no advert breaks) just with two episodes left

Can't wait to watch it!! Best season so far!!

What's your opinion(s)??

Have to say that I was very dissappointed with S3, the first half I just didn't find very interesting (although there were still some good moments). Luckily it picked up in the second half when the main plot kicks into gear, although not quite enough to forgive the lacklustre first half. the ending also wasn't as exciting as it should have been. The scenes with Jack and Chappelle near the end (those whove seen it will know what I mean) however were excellent.

Season 2 has been the best so far.

I'm about 14 eps in and it seems to be improving now, certainly not a patch on the earlier seasons though.

I am of course prepared to be proved wrong!

My favourite season was Season 2. Then Season 1. Then Season 3. I loved all of them though - one of the finest TV shows ever made :notworthy

Interesting. I actually think S2 is the worst of the three, with the first season being the best IMO

Just to point out that Season One R2 was cut only by accident and Fox replaced the offending discs (5 and 6). However, as far as I know, the version now available in the shops is the uncut version. There was no question that the UK release would be unedited, it was just a cock-up on the studio's part.

S3 rocks from 4 a.m. onwards, no doubt about that.

The latter half of S3 definately makes up for the first half which seemed a little lost.

Still, my fav storyline was most of the Ira Gaines stuff from S1, he seemed to be the only really nasty baddie to me, well, most realistic, seeing as Hoppers accent was amazingly distracting. The S1 opener was the best one too, imo.

I can't believe they underused Tony as much as they did though, nemmind.

I was disappointed in the pic quality of S1 - looked very mushy and smeary to me with all that handheld camera stuff.
