Hi,
I am replacing my aging Proline (don't laugh!) 25" TV soon, but am very confused as to what is available.
I have drawn up some specs the TV must have. My budget is £700 MAX. It will be used for watching TV (duh), and my consoles, currently a DC but will be an XBOX or GC too.
1. Must be able to do 60Hz.
2. Must have RGB in's via SCART and whatever other means you can get RGB into a TV. We don't use R G B labeled component connecters in Europe right? I must say this is the most confusing issue for me. What are RGB inputs labeled as? I presume Yellow Red and White 'AV' inputs on most TVs are composite right?
3. SVHS in.
4. Either FST or Flat tube.
I am not too bothered about widescreen although, i would obviously take it up if it fits in my price range.
I am also not bothered about audio either. I will be getting a DTS/DD amp so the TV sound isnt important.
The only other things that will connect to it are an onDigital box and a VCR. If the only RGB in is SCART1 then the console will go on that, as i doubt even RGB could improve the skanky image quality of onDigital.
I have currently seen this Panasonic TX28PL4 for £550. Seems good value to me. A flat TAU tube and Widescreen. However i have no idea if it supports my requirement as Panasonics website has less information on it that the sites selling it!
Thanks for any help you may have :)
