View Full Version : Panny W/S Telly which one?
I have decided to upgrade my Goodmans 4:3 £300 telly for a slightly better one :D
I have decided to go for a Panasonic and need some help with features. I couldn't believe there are so many models available.
I am looking at 32" and was considering 100hz. I only want a Nicam set as I have my a/v amp.
Can anyone recommend some models that would meet my requirements.
Cheers
I've just ordered one for myself which is arriving Sunday.
It's a FXPK20 model, and has all the features you wanted.
There is a good review of it at
http://www.whatvideotv.com under the test bench/ hardware review section.
Hope that helps!

I recently bought a Panasonic 32" Flatscreen 100hz telly off QXL for £780 inclusive of delivery, would highly recommend. I have one slight question with it but that is bound to be me being dumb.
The model number is TX-32PK25 which I think is the new version of the one mentionned by stigdu. The dealers on QXL were Crampton & Moore who were excellent all throughout the process.
Just looked on QXL but it doesn't appear they have any of the ones i bought up for auction at the moment, have a look here (http://www.qxl.com/cgi-bin/BrandShop/ShowResults.cgi/6531028/EN) see if it changes...
must say it again though love my tv

Is that including the stand?

Yes the 32PK25 is the new version of the PK20 but the only difference I was told was the tube was different.
Yes I've been looking at that model. I'm between 2 at the moment. Depending on the price I can get it for, I really fancy the TX32PG30. Cracking looking telly and could get it as low as £1080.00 - so far (including stand). I'm due money back from expired extended warrantys from Comet (£250) so if I could get the PG30 for about the same price as the PK25, I'd go for that.
Thanks for your views. When I went to look at TV's, I felt the Panasonic stood (way) out from the rest. So far I haven't seen the PG30 working so i'll try and have a look for one over the weekend.
I was surprised that when I went to look at Curry's, Comet & Powerhouse the other night, not one of them had the PK25 or PG30.
Before you buy a TX32PG30 go to www.homecinemachoice.com web site and check out their bulletin board. You should be able to search on TX32PG30, some of the messages from owners of this set might put you off though.
Cheers
Aidan.
Have you considered the Panasonic TX32DK1, Nicam, not 100hz but with as near as dam-it flat screen.
I have one and love it ;) You should be able to get one for around £600 with stand and delivery

www.storeplus.co.uk
Anyone thinking of buying a TV of this value should have a look at this site. Excellent prices (check them on www.dealtime.co.uk I have!) and inclusive of delivery. But here's the interesting bit: they let you sign up for your own totally free, fully hosted storeplus internet store (it looks exactly the same as the one linked to) and this qualifies you to receive commission/discount off any sales/purcahses made from your own store (believe it or not, they pay up to 75% of the profit margin back to you this way). Certainly makes their prices absolutely unbeatable anywhere. The whole process takes about 10 mins (my partner recently joined). Worth a look.

mine was with stand yes for £780 - I did post this in the bargain forum a while back so it wasn't me being selfish in this auction :) Anyway if you see one without a tand feel free to make an offer for mine which I will let go at a minimal price
