I have been asked to check the user accounts on the PDC as well as on the email to see who could possibly be deleted.
However as there will be a load of people then is there a way to put all the usernames (or just the actual name, not the user account name) into a file or print them out? i just dont fancy sitting in the server room for a few hours going through them one by one!

take a look HERE (http://netsecurity.about.com/cs/hackertools/a/aafreeenumtool.htm)
Or alternatively I'm sure there's a tool on the NT4 resource kit.
Good luck

DumpSec from the above link will do what you want. It used to to be DumpACL.

cheers, will take a look as it will be easier to have a proper list rather than working off the PDC.

You could just issue the command NET USER on the PDC or any backup DC from a command prompt, this will spit out the list of domain users, redirect to file and then print.

Iamateaf - whats the proper syntax something like
net user > c:/users.txt ?
i would prefer not to install anything on the PDC if avoidable for obvious reasons!

close
net user > c:\users.txt
...and omit the question mark too ;) :p

:D
ALWAYS getting the / and \ the wrong way!
You can export the list of Exchange 5.5 mailboxes (which presumably is the same or very similar to your NT user list) to a .csv file in the Exchange admin program. You can open and play with the .csv in excel. I prefer to do it from Exchange rather than NT because you can get a whole load more information, such as when the mailbox was last opened (easy way to spot who should have been deleted years ago).
You really should be moving up to win2003/exchange2003 now though, it is so much better than nt4 and exch5.5 (both of which Microsoft are shortly to stop supporting ... which means the antivirus vendors etc will soon stop supporting ...)
