View Full Version : V
Is the rest of this ever going to be released? Don't see much point in getting half of it and then having to wait (6 months now?) to finish off the story.......
Despite what Studio Day 2001 speculated, V The Final Battle is due in the summer. The first release is a worthy purchase. The picture quality is good and the commentary is very informative and easy to listen to. Well recommended.
It is disappointing we have to wait, but for a while it looked like we weren't even going to see The Final Battle released on DVD. I'm not bothered about the series being released though.
Have to agree about the V commentary track, one of the most interesting ones ive ever listened to, if your a fan of the series its a must own disc, shame its a flipper and the case is a snapper bloody lazy so and so's

From what I remember reading somewhere, they were going to see how the first series did on DVD. It obviously did really well, which is why they're planning to release "The Final Battle" and the (not-so-good) TV series...

Summer, as in next year?
I don't think an exact date has been announced other than next summer, see the 'Warner Brothers Announces Some Future Treats! 10/23/2001' news story at DVD Sewer:

Is it a flipper in the sense that it needs to be turned at the end of an episode, or during?
You need to flip at the end of the first part, not during any part of the story.
Part 1 is 1 hour 45 minutes
Part 2 is 1 hour 31 minutes
+ 25 minute documentary on side 2 (poor picture on doc)
+ commentary for entire length
I have only ever known two commentary tracks where the writer/director (in this case) gives information on how to contact them if you have anything else to ask. The other was Frequency from New Line where they jokingly challenged people to do so.
V is a sound as a pound!
