Hi all,

I've got a 28" widescreen Schneider TV that I bought from Asda about 8 months ago. (I know it's cheap, but it's not bad for the price!)

The problem I have is when watching a DVD, the whole picture seems to be shifted to the right - not to the extent that I get a black bar down the left, but far enough over to make a lot of opening credits disappear of the right of the screen (if a name comes up on the right, often only half of it is visible!)...

I've done several searches on the net and can't find anything on this problem - is it the overscan?

Can anyone tell me how to fix this, is there a service menu I can get into?

The problem doesn't render anything unwatchable, it just annoys me every time I watch a film, which is quite often :D

I had this on another TV.

If I had it on AV1 then the picture was over to the Left.. But if I set it to (RGB) on AV1 then the picture went back over to the right. but it was never in the center....

Mine only seems to be when watching a DVD using RGB on AV2 - when watching ITVdigital it's fine....

Did you manage to fix it? :D

No never fixed it. I just put it down to a cheap TV....

I noticed it more when the THX Logo came on and was a bit cut off. Can u turn RGB off and see if it shifts over.

Also you could try AV1 if you have not already..

Sorry i cant be anymore help to you m8, but I do sympathise.

WAS VERY ANNOYING FOR ME:mad:

I might switch RGB off and give it a go, and I might try AV1 - but isn't RGB quality supposed to be far better than composite?

Thinking about it, you're right, the THX logo is just creeping off the right, and it is VERY ANNOYING  :D

It is definately worse that RGB. But try it anyway and see if it shifts over...

LMK what happens:)

Had to return 3 Schneider 32" tv's to Asda with varying faults but mostly with the same problem you have with yours. I reckon you should get a refund, best thing to do, I would not recommend them to anyone.

AQUALUNG :

Hehe, was waiting for someone to say that ;)

I can't afford to get a replacement at the moment mate, and I can't cope without a TV! Anyway, the picture quality on it is absolutely brilliant for the price, it's just that one problem that let's it down...
