Quiet night down in sunny Cornwall, so we rented "Anna and the King", what a beautiful film, how did I miss this one on release?
Talk about quality transfers, the picture is sublime, audio is mainly centre channel but there are good ambient effects.
Excellent leads from Jodie (english rose) Foster, and Chow Yun Fat.
Definately a wish list entry.
By the way for all you Tombstone fans Amazon.com are now listing the SE at $22.95, roll on 15 January!

I too really enjoyed A&TK it was a film i wasn't expecting much from and i rented it free when i rented another film out, so i figured i wasn't losing anything. Agreed the picture is great, fantastic cinematography and the story was actually quite gripping.

Anna and The King was one of the most butt numbing, painfully bland most pointless films I have ever seen. I hated every single minute of it.
