It was called "The Black Angel" and it was tagged onto the front of The Empire Strikes Back when it went on theatrical re-release in the early 80s.
Sort of a medieval thing involving a knight wandering around some spooky woods, very moody, minimal dialogue... I remember being utterly nonplussed by it at the time (I was about 10 or 11), but I'd like to know more now!
The IMdB lists a 1979 independent film called Black Angel, but has no information beyond the names of its director and composer (Roger Christian and Trevor Jones).
