Anyone else having problems with Amazon.fr returning that beautiful but useless Jeunet box we were suckered into buying? All of Amazon's emails to me (in French) have indicated they would refund the cost of the DVD itself but would only refund the money it costs me to ship the DVD back to them from the states (probably around 8 or 9 Euros) in the form of a voucher to be used for future purchases at their store. Doesn't this contradict what their site says their return policy is?

Bit of a grey area, that, really. However, if you don't expect to be ordering anything else from the French site I would hold out for a full refund to your credit card. By the way, did you use the english@amazon.fr email address?

Anyone know how long they take to process returns? Do they send you an email when they get the item, or after it has been processed? I sent mine back a week ago and no sign yet on my account.

I've e-mailed them three times, and they have yet to reply or refund my CC. They have had my return a week now.

It was advertised - still is, actually! - on the Amazon.fr site as having English subtitles, but in fact has none (French HOH only on City of lost children).

They've basically stopped answering my emails too. Isn't there some way to make sure that they act honorably here?

I sent an email to their english thingy and I eventually received a reply over 2 weeks later...

It basically said they'd make a note on my account that I would be returning it.....

Havn't heard anything since though and I sent it a week ago....

I just got a similar one, after emailing the English address yesterday; they haven't received it yet however - I posted it on the 1st.

I've returned stuff to Amazon.fr due to their error and received a full refund.

Amazon are legally obliged to refund you everything -France has their version of The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (http://www.weblaw.co.uk/distance.htm) too.

If you have a problem point this out strongly.
