are these any good?

I was thinking that I've run out of Scart sockets on my TV and to start with only 1 of the 3 are RGB. Could use this to sort that problem out!!

Need Scarts for :
- TiVo
- Sky+
- DVD Player
- Video
- MediaMVP

Would still probably feed all Audio directly to the Amp and switch there the sound output.

Are these available elsewhere aswell - is this a good price?

Its certainly a good price, cheapest I've seen around is £40+p&p

I've read that they are quite good and that the quality of the signal isn't affected

I am tempted ;)

See Post #5 for a handy list of some).

Sounds like all you need is a SCART switch block. You can get ones with switches and ones that autosense which input is sending data. Finding one with 5 or more inputs may be hard.

Ask on the Home Entertainment Hardware Forum here too.

i have been seriously looking into getting one of these

but there is also a thread over at av forums where this has some real probs

on some it keeps switching between widescreen and 4:3 then turning off and on

so basically unwatchable

You can get autoswitching RGB scart boxes on ebay for about a fiver (5 sockets) or less (2-3 sockets). I bought one recently and it was delivered in a day, and works brilliantly. I'd post the guys ebay id but I'm not sure if that would be allowed or not?

I'd imagine its fine as you're not the seller and you're not linking to an auction anyway. I'd certainly like to know the sellers id ;)

Are all of the input sockets RGB? Just had a quick look on eBay and couldn't see any.

Wemt for one of these from gameplay - ordered saturday afternoon and paid 2nd class postage - arrived this morning.

Not had a chance to cable things in yet - need to wait for some good scart cables and am likely to get a pinnacle showcenter so am waiting to do it all at once.

cheers to OP.

The BIG plus point on this for me is the fact that it does multiple optical in! Great if you've got an Xbox, PS2, GC, DVD player and Freeview but only have 2 inputs on your amp!
