View Full Version : Philips 28PW6515 opinions please
I am thinking of buying one of these, can anyone let me know their thoughts on it. Also any other suggestions.

Can be lovely, but a load of people have experienced really bad geometry (massive bends in 4:3 mode) and pixelly picture processing artefacts.
It's a risky business getting one. If you're lucky then you're laughing as when working properly the picture is beautiful, but the majority seem to experience one or both of the problems. Try before you buy, and make sure you actually take home the actual telly you saw being demonstrated, not a different one from out of the stockroom.

Well I must've got lucky :)
Just got one last week and it is well specced and featured.
My geometry is *slightly* out (minor bend on right hand side of 4:3 pic). Philips customer services won't give out code to access the special engineer's menu to adjust either. Apparently I have to get an engineer out and the problem is so minor I haven't bothered..
Yeah, I´ve got this one to and it rocks, nice picture and all, great quality for the price. Mine is also a bit "bended" but its so small I dont notice and when in 16:9 or widescreen mode you dont have it or see it at all, works like a charm, but as suggested, take it home and try it first!!
