Noobie Mini DV camcorder question

Thinking of buying the above....

1. When you copy your films to a PC via Firewire, does it transfer in realtime....ie do you have to watch it, or superfast?

2. How much disk space does about an hours filming take up??

3. & if i had an Analog-Digital cam could i convert old home movies?

1. Sort of, but no sound. You don't have to watch it, just leave it.

2. Loads, 12GB.

3. You'll need one with analogue in and lead to convert from the old analogue cam to the digital one.
