saw this in whsmith today priced at £19.99 (for a 2 disk set) which seems a very nice and tidy package.

The dvd features 4 episodes + the jimmy saville special ed with some kind of extra commentary.

was a little surprised with the E (exempt) classification as it includes the 'porn' episode.

any way i just wondered if anyone's bought yet? whats the picture quality like, extras etc.... is it worth the money?
:)
mark.

Louis is doing a signing at Oxford Street Virgin at 5pm on Wednesday if anyone is interested. Might pop along myself, he seems a decent enough chap.

The Hamiltons are going to be in his new series -- "coincidentally" filmed during the bizarre sex allegiations in the summer.

Picked this up yesterday.

Great episodes, although they could have put a couple more on quite easily.

Don't be fooled by the Jimmy/Louis commentary. It is not feature length, it just a series of clips of them watching the episodes that is accessed like the 'follow the white rabbit' feature on The Matrix disc. Total footage of them equals about 25/30mins over the whole 5 episodes. (4hours +)

Its not a reason for either buying it or not buying it just a mildly diverting extra.

The episodes are great though.

Why couldn't they just release them series by series?

:(

Not a sale for me, I'll just watch the best ones I've taped...

As far as I know it has been fully released. However, some places are waiting for their first delivery. So far I've found Play247.co.uk to be the cheapest...stay clear of HMV who want £24.99!

I really do wish that they would have released them per series. The 2-disc set is good, but being a lover of the series and being able to own all of them on DVD would have been great!

This is definately a want for me, more so now i hear the "Saville" episode is included, i'm laughing just thinking about that one. :D

On a side note...Louis Theroux as been recently popping up on the (official)Marilyn Manson forums allegedly, the missus just informed me, something to do with Manson appearing in a future episode of Louis' show, and Mr. Theroux as been asking a few questions to MMs fans.

I just picked this up today for £20 in ASDA. Its a good package but I can't believe its received an E for classification. Anyone know why it's exempt seeing as other BBC programmes such as Alan Partridge received a 12?

I think documentaries are exempt.

Bought this last night - really cool!

Don't think it'll ever get a complete series release as music right and things would need to be rehaggled...

The back of the box state that music differs from that which was broadcast.

So I'd grab this while you can if you ain't got them taped!

Note: I found a hidden bit - last track on both disc! Anyone find this proper? It's a very small non-consequential bit, but it is distinct as it the only 1.77:1 anamorphic bit on the whole disc!? The rest is 4:3 Hmmm...

The Rap one is class!

i ended up buying this yesterday, a great package (although a little overpriced) i thought. Its worth it though for the saville episode alone.

I love the episode of tax dodging extremists who are seeking refuge at heavens gate, (new world order), some real characters in that one, especially the bear steaks bloke in the hobit house.

over 4 1/2 hours of cutting edge documentation. Fans of louis will not be dissapointed.

any one know if there is a new series in the works ? (apart from the hamiltons special) which should be a hoot.
