monitor.exe missing

Every time I start my pc up I get an error message telling me that monitor.exe is missing.
How can I fix this problem

check in the registry to see if the run folder is calling anything called monitor.exe

look in hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\current version\run

usual disclaimers about modifying the registry pooing up your PC apply :D

Did you get this sorted 'the voice of kenny'? As I've got the same thing.
Mcafee is not picking anything up, I can find W32.HLLW.Shower.J in the process tab, whats going on????

I swear these viruses are made up by Norton and Mcafee to keep there products going.

Its ok, I think I've got it, there were still some bits left in the registry, all gone now.
