Anyone know when Captain Corelli's Mandolin is coming out on any region, preferably region2 - the other is giving me grief as she really wants it and I'm thinking of it as a possible Xmas present.

Ain't heard a thing about this - so doubt very much it'll be released before christmas...in fact,im pretty sure... proably by the 3rd month of next year it'll be out hopefully!

According to Craig at *********, the projected R1 release date is sometime in February 2002. Seen nothing regarding any R2/R4 release so far, but would expect it to street after R1 does, so maybe spring/summer 2002 is likely.

didn't this come out at the flicks here waaay before over the pond? I was thinking/hoping that we'd get it on DVD first, ala O Brother.....
