View Full Version : Dell Outlet charged me twice

A word of warning to those with current/recent orders at Dell outlet - check your bank statements thoroughly! I was charged twice for an order I placed last week - once just after it was placed, and again on the day of despatch! With previous orders, the money wasn't taken from my account until despatch - it appears that this time instead of putting a hold on the funds during order processing, they withdrew the money.

To their credit, Dell appear to have sorted it out quickly and are refunding the money, though it'll take 4-5 days for it to get back to my account :mad:

Then, having placed another order yesterday, I notice today that the money for this one has gone from my account already.... Deja vu?

And to top it all, I've just received a confirmation email for an order I didn't place (and its not even a bargain!)....

Am I the only one having problems with Dell's order system at the moment? I've been dealing with them problem-free for almost a year, and now all this in a week :brickwall

Charged me 4 times instead of once and sent the wrong PC and denied I had the wrong PC and then refunded the wrong sums of cash. It got so complicated that after arguing with my bank for several months I passed it to Trading Standards who sorted it in less than 24hrs.

A lot of hassle with their Outlet making it unlikelly I'd deal with them again.

do a search as well, there was a post about someone being charged twice 2 or 3 months ago...
