Haven't seen any post this yet so here goes:

"If you've never sold before, why not take advantage of our Free Listing Week starting July 31 2004. List any item and you won't have to pay for basic listing. So if you've been meaning to de-clutter now is your chance. Our most experienced sellers tell us that you get the best returns on items by starting at a low price"

I cannot find anything that says the start price must be between £0.01 and £0.99 so basically you can list everything at the price you want and if it sales good and if it doesn't then no hardship.

We all know that it does not compare to eBay but this offer makes them worthwhile just to put items on for the bare minimum you are looking for.

More info:

"The FREE listing week will officially start on Saturday July 31 2004 at 00:01am
It will close Saturday August 7 2004 at 00.01am
Items created prior to the FREE listing week , but reposted during the free listing week will also be free of listing charge.

You will require a Seller Activation Code before you can start selling on QXL.com. To check, go to Sell! login and check whether you are already activated to sell. If not follow the instructions to request your code before the FREE listing week starts"

"The listing fee itself is free.
If an item is reposted during the week then the repost is free "

"If you list an item during the FREE listing week and repost it the following week, you will need to pay for the listing/repost fee.
You will pay the usual success fees when your items successfully close. Click here to check the QXL fees.
You will need to pay for any promotional features that you add to your auctions (homepage, thumbnail image, bold, highlight, etc...). Please remember that your item will probably need to get a little bit of extra exposure this week so we highly recommend that you give your auction a boost with a 'thumbnail image', 'bold' or 'highlight'."

"Please be sensible and list your items in the correct category.
Please remember that the FREE listing week does not mean anything goes. Our usual Terms and Conditions apply.
Please click here to check what is and what is not allowed on QXL.com.
Please refrain from listing duplicated auctions. For example do not create 1000 auctions with 1 pen. Simply create 1 auction with 1,000 pens.
Please remember that you need to activate your Seller Activation Code before you can start selling on QXL.com. To check, go to Sell! login and check whether you are already activated to sell. If not follow the instructions to request your code before the FREE listing week starts. "
