Anyone help?

- DVD player - Sony 7700
- TV Player - Sony KV32FX60
- Receiver - Sony STRDB 1070 (thanks currys!)

- I've moved my TV and DVD player to my new house - duirng a 6 month peiod in storage (DVD player), the TV was used by a mate borrowed the TV.

- Last night I set-up the system again and get the following results :

S-Video -> Scart (1) - via Amp or direct to TV :
- Region 1 (ie NTSC) - B&W
- Region 2 (ie PAL) - Full Colour
S-video -> Scart (2 or 3) - via Amp or direct to TV :
- Region 1 Discs - Macrovision type effects
- Region 2 (ie PAL) - Full Colour

Question - what is causing the macrovision type effects on the Region 1 NTSC playback? - TV, DVD and Disc all used to work OK so I assume its something in the set-up!

Sounds like the TV has somehow lost it's NTSC ability. You'll have to go into the service menu and re-enable it.

KV TWEAK (http://www.kv32tweak.freeuk.com/) will tell you how to get into it.

EDIT - Or go into the DVD player setup and enable RGB?

Thanks Bapapapa - KV TWEAK looks like a useful site.

I;ve checked on the service menu and the Auto YC is set to on. I've tried a Phono (video) to Scart which eliminates the problem, but the picture is not as good. :brickwall

Any further ideas how to get the S-Video to Scart input to recognise NTSC?
