Is there any truth in the rumour that they're going to alter the film with CGI to put some jokes in it?

ROFL
Seriously though, if this is what people have been after then enjoy it.
I think I'll be going for the r4 SE released Jan 2, 'cos it will be cheaper, released 4 weeks earlier and in PAL!

Well, I'll be buying the new SE to replace my old one just because they worked so damn hard on that new cover.

i love this movie, so i'll definitely be purchasing it on release. and it'll be my third copy too! originally had the current R1, then purchased the R2 due to minor preferences in cover differences.
i agree a bit thin compared to some SEs, but this is better than nothing. surely it is also sporting a new transfer?
region 1 for me. can't tell any difference between (non-broadcast)NTSC and PAL, and don't want the PAL speed-up or BBFC logos/huge aussie ratings logos!
N.B.: not looking for an argument there, just putting across another opinion.

I could argue about many things but not about the state of your mind when it comes to re-buying DVDs :D

I'm just hoping that Ramis isn't going to be as dull and useless on this audio commentary as he was on the track he did for Analyze This - and on that he stopped saying anything 15 minutes from the end.

Great film... but that cover really IS awful! Just what is Bill Murray doing?... "Ooh, I'm trapped, but I don't care".
Nevermind, hopefully it'll be a good audio commentary and docu, this film has been screaming for a SE release for ages! (IMHO ;))

no argument there! i am so anally-retentive about that sort of thing, i just can't help myself!! i actually bought both the US and canadian versions of good will hunting and put the canadian disc (only anamorphic version) inside the US box, because the canadian artwork wasn't quite as good, and they didn't use the original title logo! then sold the other combination to some unsuspecting shop in birmingham city centre! :D
Now am I glad I didn't but it at HMV today, roll on January 29th. :)

That little boy's name is Peter Rowan (you'll get a big pic by clicking my sig). He lived across the road from Bono, he's been in a few films (including The Commitments) and has worked in a skateboardd shop (former champion of Ireland no less) and is now a professional photographer. Is that a definitive answer? :D

No, I actually meant it as a continuation of the joke in the other "Groundhog Day sucks" thread, with WWIII being the one that currently is in progress of starting, between the "civilized" world and "third world" countries in middle east, between christians and muslims, with middle east being all wiped out and US/UK/Russia nuked, and the 3% of remaining population engaged in their last and final battle of good vs. Evil over Groundhog Day...
