mini dv to dvd lipsinc problem

I've been trying to burn the film from my camcorder onto dvd, i've been using Ulead dvd movie factory to do this, everything works ok but when I try and play the dvd the lipsinc goes out of line about half way through the dvd.
this has now happened twice, does anybody know how I can fix this

What quality was the sound recorded on the camcorder?

Most camera have either 12bit or 16bit, if it was recorded at 12bit you will get drifting of the audio track when written to dvd.

Best to keep at at 16bit all the time.

just checked the camera and it's set to 12bit, now set to 16bit
