Hello all!
Im going to buy the scream trilogy, but which region should i go for?????
Region 1 seems to be around £10 more expensive, but it also has 4 discs (i think region 2 only has 3)
Can anyone help me out?
R1:
Scream: Non-anamorphic
Scream 2: Anamorphic
Scream 3: Anamorphic
Bonus 4th disc
R2 UK:
Scream: Non-anamorphic
Scream 2: Non-anamorphic
Scream 3: Anamorphic
R4 Austrailia:
Scream: 4:3 Pan&Scan (also might not have the extras)
Scream 2: Anamorphic
Scream 3: Anamorphic
Bonus 4th disc

So that'll be R1 then ;)
This is this best place for ALL your Region Comparison Requirements (Including the Scream Trilogy) (http://www.dvdcompare.org.uk/index.htm) :D

Be careful with the R1 - some chapters on Scream 1 and 2 will not play on some DVD players (Wharfedale 750 has problems with both films, the 750S will not play one chapter on the 2nd film).

Actually the best region for "Scream" (first movie) is R2 japan - anamorphic & unrated version...
The best version of Scream 3 is the French R2 as it is a two disc set.

Really? What features does it include?
According to DVDFr:
Both DD 5.1 & DTS soundtracks - in english and french, subtitles in french (it doesn't say that they aren't removable but I would be wary).
2 DVD Box Set:
1st DVD (Dvd-9):
Commentary by Wes Craven; the producer and the editor.
2nd DVD (Dvd-5):
Filmographies
US and international trailers
4 teaser trailers
Making of (10 min)
Extracts from turning of the trilogy (6 min)
Music video: "What If" by Creed
Deleted scenes with accompanying notes (which compare the scenes to those that made it into the film)
Collection of bloopers from Scream 1 (3 min)
Collection of bloopers from Scream 2 (4 min)
I'm not that good at French though so some things may be wrong... See here (http://www.dvdfr.com/dvd/fiche.php3?id=2683) for the details in French.
Overall an excellent package... One that I may make an investment in - around £20 at Amazon inc. postage...

Urghh - Scream 3 is utter garbage and at £20 is expensive garbage - you only gain a DTS track over R1, R2 and R4 I believe!

On the R2 (British release) you get all these extras but on one disc.

I think the DTS track and the 10-min making of are the only things missing on R1 and R2 UK.

I've just ordered the uncut Danish R2 Scream from dvdoo.dk. Non-anamorphic but *much* cheaper than Japan - Scream 1 & 2 for approx £25 compared to £30ish just for Japanese Scream
