..but is the Bjork DVD the version with the black boxes over the top or the one were she get's her 'Bjork's' out?

I only ask because i wouldn't want to see anything which may hurt my fragile little mind.

I got Linkin Parks In the end last week but was very saddened to see that the video for the song was not on the disc but crawling was instead still cool disc though.

A very good question. I was going to buy this but saw that it is the Video:Edit so I assume it's the censored version.
Virgin also happened to be playing the songI was mooching around and I didn't like it.

I picked up My Father My King by Mogwai instead :D

You can see this on-line if you go to the official Bjork site....

All I'll say is, Ouch!

I got the Bjork DVD, and it certainly isn't censored - it's just that the song is the Video Edit. I was surprised that it wasn't certified by the BBFC, actually. It's in 5.1 and Stereo, incidentally, 4:3 Aspect Ratio, and probably the best pop promo I've seen in years.

Any recommendations for online suppliers? HMV - £4.99!! I'm still surprised that there aren't any video compilation DVD's, like the Now series. Wasn't there talk hereabouts at one time of Vespertine (the album) being available on DVD, or am I imagining that?

Was only £3.99 in real life at HMV (-10% student discount for me) which wasn't *too* bad [although I wasn't over impressed!] while Virgin wanted £4.99 for it!

IIRC www.action-records.co.uk want £3.99 for it, which is OK.

Boink!

Don't forget Action add postage to all orders.
BTW I just ordered the Depeche Mode one.

Yesterday, I bought the D12 DVD and the Depeche Mode DVD for £3 each at the smaller HMV in Birmingham. Also, the new All Saints Greatest Hits CD is avaliable as a double pack with a DVD showing clips (all over 2 minutes each) of all the videos and 5 remixes. I paid £16 for this also in HMV.

hmm - 'clips' - that's not the best thing I've ever heard! I know it might be quite cheap compared to 'regular' DVD prices, but the idea of the format for music is great and I wish that record companies would use it to it's fullest, rather than being quite wishy-washy towards it.

FWIW, I bought Embrace and D12 today (looks like the V-Shop branch I visited had run out of Bjork). D12's is a great example - full, uncensored video of the single track (the way it should be!). Last week I bought Limp Bizkit - Boiler - the other end of the spectrum - video for Faith, Ok, fine, but no video for the a-side single, esp. given they had the vid for Rollin' on the DVD release!

For those interested, there are 3 new Bjork DVD's being released, there is a thread here (http://www.thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30383) about it all.

I got the Pagan Poetry today from Virgin for £4.49 :D

I bought the Depeche Mode and Bjork DVDs for £2.99 at HMV. Both are great value although the DD track on the Bjork disc is superior. I will be watching this one many times. ;)

Pagan Poetry dvd single - £2.95 in Our Price (a place I don't particularly enjoy shopping in, but... hey! A quid is a quid). I'd seen the fuzzed up version on MTV2, and seeing it in full - two words spring to mind.

First - Wow
then - Ouch.

I think the Embrace disc is class.
Is there a reason why singles only have one full video. Both the Embrace and Mode discs are live recordings that also contain live audio songs from the same gig.
Why not show the video.
Or is this one of those Law before common sense issues.

so these are just excerpts then - not the full videos?
WHAT is the point in that?
I haven't bought it yet but when I read 'video clips' I assumed it meant the full videos because 'clips' is what people in the biz call pop videos (as do Aussies!)

It's an sneek peek at the forthcoming All Saints DVD, with all the videos (including both versions of Never Ever, I think), some live stuff off MTV and some "behind-the-scenes" footage. It's out in December, I think...
