Ok. When it comes to technology I'm completely lost.
I know there are people who offer such services, but I don't know where to look and prefer the familiarity of the forums, although this is my first post in the C+C forums. (only the 10th or so time I've viewed it in fact)
Anyway, is there anybody in the north/northwest london area who can visit my place and get things to work and explain stuff to me? Let me know your rate too if that's ok.

There are a few things I need to get sorted - so I'll list them here:
I've got a Tivo. It worked fine in my old place which didn't have Sky. My new place has Sky and I've asked before for advice to make it work to which Threadkiller replied, but I could get it to work. 6mths on I should do something about it, otherwise it's just a box gathering dust.

I've got the Medion Navigator off the bargain forums and I think it was RikBooth who kindly sent me the file to attach other useful info to it, but I don't know how to do it. Also if somebody can explain how it works with the pc etc.

I should explain I think I've got a P2 350 or something like that at home with a CD thing attached. there's nothing else on it. I"m looking to upgrade this but don't know where to start, so advice on say iBooks or Dells etc is needed. (I have no preference) I think it would need DVD writable capabilities but I don't know what DVD R and RW is all about.

I've got a JVC digicam and I'd like to transfer the tapes I've made to dvd format.

I've got a Samsung E700 phone and the wife has a SE610 but we only use them to make calls and take pics, but don't know how to use everything else it's capable of. have heard of dongles but don't know how they work.

I've got an Ixus 400. I can upload images to the pc, chose the ones i want and send them back to the memory card to take to Boots to get developed, but would like to crop/resize etc, so advice is needed there too.

Finally, I need advice on how to sort out the wires behind the TV, amp, dvd player the best way.

I know I can get the info from you off this forum, but I just can't put your written advice into practice, so if anybody knows about this sort of thing, and is available, just post below.

TIA.

Why not ask on here? I mean one thing at a time though! Also you must be more specific about the problems or no one will be able to help
