I recently read in the mirror that fox will be doing 3 feature length simpsons movies using state of the art technology, now will this be the same technology used in shrek or toy story???

I think it would be a bad idea to make a simpsons movie with real life actors, look at how the flintstones turned out, but it they did i would say :bruce willis would make a good homer
arsene wenger would make a good mr burns Joe Pantoliano(teddy from memento) would make a good ned flanders

i can't think of anyone who would be good enough or look similar to play the other characters, can anyone suggest people???

I think it's likely they'll make it the same way as South Park: BLU was made.

Well, at least that's what I hope. But I've not watched for ages now. Last 2/3 series have been @@@@e.

All the spaceships and big panning shots are done with a combination of traditional artwork and CGI on Futurama. So i can't see why they shouldn't do the same on the Simpsons.

Don't hold your breath for any Simpsons movies just yet, i read very recently that no movie will be made untill the show goes off air, this was from some guy at Fox.

If that's the case i hope we never see a Simpsons movie, there's no need for one anyway the TV show is the perfect fomat for this.

Although a perfect live actor for Moe would be that comedian Rich Hall...go find a picture of him, he'd be perfect, and he wouldn't have to work very hard on the voice....found a photie here! (http://www.strapt.co.uk/feature2a.htm)

Am I the only simpsons fan who reckons the more recent shows are not all that great? Not terrible, but I gave up videoing the new ones over a year ago. If the series stopped, i'd gladly trade it for something more original in the cinema.

Second point, remember the episode where homer and bart are rendered in computer animated 3D and homer ends up walking down a real live street. I seem to remember that it was rumoured at the time that this expensive work was done as a test for a movie.
