View Full Version : Pioneer 535 multiregion - Is it RCE compatible?
Hi all,
I've got a Pioneer 535 multiregion DVD and I'm interested in getting Final Fantasy region one and it's RCE. So I was just wondering if the 535 is RCE.
Cheers for the help.

If you have instructions to change the region manually, you should be just fine. Generally, the Pioneer machines are modded through the software rather than a chip.
To change the region code on my 737 I do:
Press - "setup"
Choose - "General"
Choose - "Basic"
Press - "Display"
See current region displayed
Press - "Condition Memory"
Choose Region "1,2,3,4,5,6"
Press - "Setup"
Don't know whether you will have the same functions on your player as I've not used a 535. Hope this helps. :)
I've got a Pioneer 530 and it played Final Fantasy without a problem and straight after playing a Region 4 disc.
You should be ok with your 535. If not, I've got the instructions at home of how to force it to be Region 1.
Hi,
The DVD was purchased from Richersounds last xmas as a MR out of the box, and not a 3rd party mod.
Cheers for the feedback, I just didn't fancy buying FF R1 to find it doesn't play RCE disks...

These are modded by afirm called tridex for Rs, and it all depends on how old it is - older pioneers sold via RS were not RCE compatible, nor had macro mods on this model:( Can you manually change region?
In all honesty I've never tried changing the region as I don't have anything other than region 0 or 2 disks.
What exactly is the procedure for changing the region on the 535?
