Is it true that you can't change bb supplier in the first 12 months? Otherwise you pay a fee of £58?

I am asking because I want to change to a 2MB service with another supplier but I think I have to wait until my 12 months are up.

I've just found out that my landlord's selling our house, 3 months after we signed up with Pipex :( I guess there's not a lot we can do about it, so we'll just have to cough up to end the contract...

Yep, their minimum contract is 12 months.

I would phone them to explain the situation, because they may well let you switch your account to your new place of residence. It's got to be worth a go. I found them to be very helpful changing some details of our account.
