ps2 help

hi please help i have a uk ps2 v7 i am trying to play r1 movies on it i have a copy of region x but it says its not compatible with my player and i should get an update code !!i have tried emailing them but my email was returned...
so is there anybody with the code that can help me?
if not is there another way i can play movies ??
btw it has an mxl 2 fitted dont know if this matters
