get the r1 25th anniversary for extras as the documentry is complete and the original r1 release for the original movie as seen in theatres.
The 25th anniversary has the warner logo altered and the dream sequence has the colour desaturated and the jump in the finale smoothed out
version you've never seen has unimportant extra scenes and unwanted digital effects which in my opinion ruin the atmoshere created by the original movie.

I'd go for the region 2 original version - you get a good few extras including the very informative documentary. You retain every bit of atmosphere the original theatrical cut created, and you can pick it up for the extremely generous price of 7.99 from Play (http://www.play.com).
