I'm looking to get a budget player soon, and I went down to my local Tesco to see what was on offer.

I just wondered if anyone knew the main differences between the machines, and which they'd recommend.

If any owners of the respective machines are reading, perhaps you'd like to treat it like a DreamCast / PS2 thread and start hurling abuse at each other. That way, even if I don't learn anything, at least I have a bit of a laugh.

I have just taken my Minato back after 3 months. It worked fine to start with but became very choosy about what discs it would play (starting with R4 and R1 discs). Now it will not play any discs.
I don't know if keep changing regions caused this but whatever it was the player is no good now. Tesco do swap or give money back so no problem.
