Hi ,
I was just wondering , if there are any digiboxes that can connect to an amp with a digital co ax cable?
And what is the state of play regarding Sound with Sky-while it seems to be to be very good in a home cinema situation-DVD seems to be streets ahead audiowise!

I know the Sony Digi box has a co ax out on it, (but think its disabled on later models?) and I'm pretty sure that the new Sky+ boxes have co ax out on them in anticipation for when Sky start broadcasting DD in December (on certain movie Channels, er I think?), anyone else clarify this :)

Thts interesting,Evade.
That Sky plus demo on the ifo channel looks very impressive.
Sky + is still ludicrously exspensive-A monthly charge , after you buy the box, just for recording even if it hi tech recording.
The Sky + is not officially available yet here in ROI.
I would like to see full 5.1/6.1 on Sky though-

The Sony & Sky+ digiboxes have optical digital outputs not co-axial outputs.
As far as I know only the Sky+ will output Dolby Digital 5.1 sound when sky start (hopefully) broadcasting it later this year.
