Pc coming to an end , how to transfer to a new pc.

well nearly at an end with my old pc and will be buying a new pc in the next week or so but how do i go about transfering all my data off of this pc onto my next one can it be done or is it a case of copying what i want onto discs or what i am running xp pro. :help:

files and settings transfer wizrd is your friend.

you could pop your old hdd into your new machine and copy stuff in windows explorer. alternatively copy important data to cd or dvd.

ok been looking into it , so where will i get me a direct cable to link up each pc and how much do they cost , being lazy here but what the hell these forums are here to help hopefully they have not failed me yet.
